Due to recent events in the news I got to thinking, is white supremacy on the rise in North America?
On one hand, there is a clear rise in race related violence in the U.S. and that is often made clear in the news. Notable events like Charlottesville show that there is clearly a large number of angry white men in the United States.
On the other hand, a large demographic of North America is made up of white people. When African Americans are often committing a ridiculous amount of crime compared to their total demographic number, is that not comparable to what would seem like white people committing violent acts towards those of another race?
(The obvious argument against that statement being; well if there are more white people than any other and they're killing more people of colour than yes, clearly there is an issue).
What do you think? Should we all be worried, or is there nothing to worry about? What other arguments can you come up for both sides?
